Scott Aulds wins Jamul Poker Open Player of the Series

The Jamul Poker Open Player of the Series Race concluded on Sunday, May 3rd after 10 trophy events. Players were competing for the following prizes:

FIRST PLACE:  $600 SDPC Main Event Seat, two-night hotel stay, and $500 cash.
SECOND PLACE:  $600 SDPC Main Event Seat and two-night hotel stay.
THIRD PLACE:  $300 SDPC Side Event Seat and two-weeknight hotel stay.

The points rating system is shown below in the Points Race Details.

The race remained in a multiway tie after six events and as many days. However, four events remained to conclude on the final day of competition and by the end of the day the podium was set with Scott Aulds coming out on top with 85 points.

Points system
Players earn points by finishing in the money in an eligible event. The higher the finish, the more points are earned, as follows:

1st: 50
2nd: 35
3rd: 25
4th: 22
5th: 19
6th: 16
7th: 14
8th: 12
9th: 10
10th-18th: 8
19th-27th: 6
28th+: 5


Multipliers
The larger the field, the more difficult it is to reach the money. To compensate for this, a multiplier is applied based on the size of the field, as follows:

<150: 1.0x (No multiplier)
151-300: 1.1x
301-500: 1.2x
501-800: 1.3x
800+: 1.4x

The leaderboard will be updated daily throughout the series with a winner declared on Sunday.
