Medallion winners and final tablists from the first three fall 2015 RGPS stops were brought to New Orleans for the RG Cup Championship as VIPs and are getting the royal treatment during their stay in The Big Easy. Friday night's treat consisted of tickets for them and a guest to take in the NBA game of the New Orleans Pelicans at home against the Washington Wizards.
With several in the group still bagging their Flight B chips at Harrah's at 6:45 p.m., the VIPs arrived separately at Smoothie King Stadium for the 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Tyreke Evans of the Pelicans was playing just his fifth game back from knee surgery in October, but still led his team with 27 points on the night--15 of those from 3-point shots.
ESPN writes:
"Davis made a free throw with 1:47 remaining for New Orleans' first lead of the fourth quarter. Eric Gordon hit two free throws with 18 seconds left and Evans made 1 of 2 with 4.7 seconds remaining. The Wizards' Gary Neal missed a 19-foot jumper at the buzzer.
"The Pelicans hadn't beaten Washington since Feb. 1, 2011."

The highlight of the game for a select group of VIPs included visiting the entrance tunnel during halftime as the Pelicans retook the court, getting and giving high fives and cheering the Pelicans on to victory. Below is video taken by RG Pro (and Council Bluffs Bounty Event winner) Ross Bybee of the tunnel experience:
Most of the group captured pictures and video of the event, including:
- Brett Rager captured the last play of the game
- Byron Long captured video from the tunnel at halftime
- Ray Henson captured this photo and this photo
- Brandon Fish posted these photos from the game
