The second RG Main Event of the spring series turned out 313 to the Horseshoe in Council Bluffs. Mike Fouts wound up on top of the pack and walks out with $36,516. Fouts entered Day 2 with one of the top stacks in the field and made his journey to the final table look easy.

The early part of the day featured Fouts near the top of the leaderboard but never in pole position. That changed at the final two tables when Fouts ascended into the lead by winning pot after pot against his table.

Fouts entered the final table as the chip leader and never fell below second on the leaderboard. Any adversity battled was temporary for Fouts, who locked up the better part of a three-way deal with Thomas Tackett and Dan Martin.

Once heads up, Fouts was in a fierce competition against the RunGood pro for the title. Fouts lost his lead a few times but never lost sight of the ultimate goal. A timely double with J8 and against the K5♠ of Martin gave him an edge he would not relinquish. Fouts finished it off with K♠Q♣ when he flopped a pair against Martin's A7♠.

Fouts earns his first career Main Event win and boosts his overall tournament resume.

This tournament marks the conclusion of the RGPS USA in Council Bluffs. On behalf of RunGood, thank you to all of the Horseshoe tournament staff, ambassadors, and players for a great series. We'll see you next on the RunGood Series in Bossier City on March 6th.
