Level 10 (800/1600/1600)
Total Entrants: 140
It's been a little while since we checked in on Steve Vang, so we visited his table and saw that Huey Hulin at Vang's table had a stack of 125,000, one of the few players above the 100k mark.
A new hand is dealt and Hulin opens for 4,800 from middle position and the action folds back to Vang in the small blind. Vang starts assembling chips and raises the bet to 12,800. The big blind folds and without much thought, Hulin lets this one go.
Steve Vang - 61,800
Huey Hulin - 119,100
In the next hand, four players see the flop in an unraised pot, which comes J♦6♦3♥. Everyone checks and the 5♥ is placed on the board.
Two players check to Hulin, who announces a bet of 6,000. Mike Waterstradt (pictured) thinks for fifteen seconds and then pushes all in for 24,700. Steve Vang is in the small blind and goes into the tank, cutting out chips to call in the process. After a half-minute think, Vang puts in the chips to call and everyone else folds.
Waterstradt - 5♦5♣
Vang - A♦2♦
Waterstradt is a 3-to-1 favorite against the straight and flush draws, but it's still 11 outs to fade. The dealer places the 2♥ on the river, no help to Vang, and Waterstradt takes the 63k pot.
Mike Waterstradt - 63,500
Steve Vang - 32,700
