It didn't long for the short stacks left in the field to put their remaining chips to work in an attempt to double up. Those attempts went unsuccessful for Jasen Currie and Thomas Houston and both players are not on the rail.
18th Place - Jasen Currie
Currie was the first to exit and was done in by Jerry Moore. Currie shoved from early position for about 125,000 with 8♣8♠ and Moore called with Q♣Q♠ having Currie covered by exactly 1,000. The board ran clean and Currie hit the rail shortly after.
A few hands later it was Thomas Houston's turn to go. Houston moved all-in from under the gun for 53,000 and got calls from Grant Hinkle in early position and Mark Fink in the big blind. Fink and Hinkle checked down the A♣9♥9♦Q♣10♠ board and Fink showed A♦5♣ to take the pot. Fink is now up to 520,000 as a result of the elimination.
