Level 7 (400/800/100)
Day 1A Entrants: 83

The pace of entrants is slowing down on Day 1A and Clyde Jacobs (pictured) ensured one opponent has to decide whether or not to try again.

Jacobs had this unlucky foe all-in for 11,000 preflop with 97 against JJ♠. The two undercards of Jacobs didn't prevent him from being confident about the prospects of his hand. Jacobs found life with a nine on the flop and a seven on the turn put him in front.

The two pair of Jacobs held up through the river and he is over 100,000 near the end of Level 7. This stack puts Jacobs near the top of the leaderboard midway through Day 1A. Clyde's wife, Tammie, is also doing well so far on in the opening flight. A more thorough look at the chip counts is coming at the start of Level 9.
