There are many stages that comprise a player's journey toward that breakout score. It usually doesn't happen overnight and quite a few players would be willing to attest to that including two in the Day 1B field.
You could easily make the case for why this weekend marks Craig Welko's time to shine. Welko has put together a tournament resume that includes over $53,000 in earnings and nearly two dozen cashes across his home state of Missouri. Even with his tournament accolades, Welko has yet to earn a cash in a RunGood Main Event and this weekend marks as good of a chance as any to get that monkey off his back.
On the other end of the spectrum sits Raymond Kilpatrick, who has a few RG cashes to his name. Kilpatrick owns two cashes in RG Tulsa Main Events and has made the final 18 players in both of his runs. The proverbial final table hump is within reach this weekend for Kilpatrick and based on how kind Tulsa has been to him in the past, could be on the verge of being crossed.
