The chip lead has changed hands on multiple occasions on Day 2 and Eric Thompson (pictured) is now in charge after eliminating Gabriel Attoun in an 800,000 chip pot.

Thompson opened the hijack for a standard raise and Attoun three-bet to 48,000 from the small blind. Thompson four-bet up to 118,000 and Attoun shoved for about 430,000. For most of his chips, Thompson called with A♠K♠ and was a favorite against the A♣Q♠ of Attoun.

The J♠7♣4♣ flop put backdoor clubs in play for Attoun and he picked up the full sweat on the J♣ turn. The 6 river bricked and Thompson took in the pot. He is up to 960,000 with the field one player away from being down to two tables.
