Chip Average: 350,000

Michael Pelt (pictured) was in the right place at the right time and is the new chip leader with the field down to 27 players. Pelt busted Chris Moneymaker and Edward Allen in the same hand to win the biggest pot of the RG Main Event.

Allen raised to 25,000 under the gun and Pelt flatted on his left. Cody Pack called in the hijack and Moneymaker came in from the big blind.

Moneymaker checked the Q9♠6 and Allen shoved for 110,000. Pelt went all-in behind him having all players covered and once Pack folded, Moneymaker called with 95 for 480,000.

Allen turned over K♣K♠ and Pelt had a tenuous lead with 6♣6. The 6♠ turn was gin to give Pelt quads and the pot.

Pelt is the chip leader with 1,480,000 with the three table redraw right around the corner.
