Antonio "Tony" Hernandez (pictured) is among the happiest players in the event. Happy to just be here. Happy to have his nearly 12-year old daughter cheering him on from home. Pointing at a bag of nuts and dried fruit trail mix, she even has him eating healthy.
A self-described bad kid when he was young, he feels lucky to be alive and lucky to get back to playing. Having been away for years from live action due to family reasons, he's recently returned to poker and putting in the work to be successful. With the coaching he's been receiving and what he's absorbed from reading and studying training videos and webinars, Hernandez looks forward to turning his play into a profession that he loves.
Having satellited into the Main Event yesterday, he is unconcerned that he's sitting on only 7,700. He's just happy to be here and hopeful to make some money to buy his little girl something special.
