At 7 p.m., Flight A of the $675 RGPS Tulsa End of Summer $100,000-guaranteed Main Event kicked off. By the time registration closed, 82 players had entered. Each flight will play 30-minute 12 levels during their Day 1, though play will be halted early if only 15% of the starting field remains.
Every Day 1 flight of the RGPS Main Event includes a raffle for door prizes. The prizes include a Samsung Curve 65" 4K television and either a gaming console or a Yeti Cooler package. Flight A's door prizes included the 4K television and a PlayStation 4. The raffle was held at the end of the second break, and Jerry Hunter was the lucky winner!
To win, players must place their tournament entry receipt into the raffle bin and be present at the time of the raffle itself. Saturday's noon flight (Flight B) will give away another Samsung Curve 4K television plus an Xbox One gaming console. The Flight C raffle winner will receive a Samsung Curve 4K television plus a Custom Yeti Roadie 20 Cooler set with colsters.
Sitting atop the leaderboard at the end of Friday's play is RG Pro Ben Reason with 228,500 chips. With two flights to go, his position is by no means secure, especially with Saturday's fields expected to be larger.
