Heroes get remembered, but legends never die, or so Babe Ruth says in "The Sandlot." Poker players who achieve tournament success are a dime a dozen but the magnitude of success that the following two players have achieved is well worth recognizing.

Before poker became officially mainstream in the early 2000s, Stan Schrier was on the precipice of forever being etched into a permanent place in history. Schrier finished third in the 2001 World Series of Poker Main Event, won by Carlos Mortensen, in a loaded final table that included Mike Matusow, Poker Hall of Famer Dewey Tomko, and Phil Hellmuth. Schrier earned a whopping $700,000 for his podium finish and in recent years has been more or less removed from the tournament scene. Although he has been absent from tournaments, Schrier is plenty experienced enough to find a way to navigate this RunGood Main Event field.

Like Schrier, Scott Buller is no stranger to tournaments of this prestige. Buller is a WSOP Circuit ring winner at The Horseshoe and holds over $1,150,000 in tournament earnings. In 2009, Buller made his way through a field of 2,700 players to finish second in the WSOP Seniors Event. That run was worth $268,000 to Buller, who even with is extensive poker resume, has never cashed in a RunGood Main Event and has the opportunity to change that this weekend.
