Champions come in all weight classes and Mark Fink proved himself to be a heavyweight today. Fink gradually worked his way through the RunGood Main Event field and was never in serious danger of being eliminated despite the chaos unfolding around him. Fink moved into the chip lead shortly after the money bubble burst and continued to chip up all the way to the final table.
Once there, Fink jumped a few spots on the pay ladder and patiently waited for the right opportunity to play large pots. As the final table narrowed down, Fink used his years of experience to take advantage of the situations made available to him. Fink eliminated the last four opponents standing between him and the Championship Belt and did so in efficient fashion.
A four-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner, Fink is no stranger to closing out tournaments but today marks his first trip into the RunGood Main Event winner's circle. Fink can now add a belt and KO Watch to his growing jewelry collection.
Thank you again to The Horseshoe for allowing us to put on a great event. We look forward to being back here again as we hit the road to Kansas City for the final stop of the Spring Brawl tour.
