Level 8 (500/1,000/100)
Total RG Main Event Day 1A Entries: 119

Josh Schmitz is far out in front of the Day 1A field only four levels from the end of the flight.

Nearly three-quarters of the way through Day 1A of the RunGood Main Event, the race for the chip lead isn't as competitive as it usually at this stage and Josh Schmitz is to thank for that. Schmitz is the only player currently over the 100,000 chip mark and he sits about 50,000 over the nearest competitor.

Schmitz is a Kansas City local and has more than held his own so far in this event. The last four levels will have plenty to say about who bags the overall chip lead but for now, it is Schmitz's title to lose. Players are about to be on a short break and then will return to play the final four levels of the night before the survivors bag their chips until Sunday. A look at the leaderboard is below.

Josh Schmitz - 130,000
Dan Lowery - 80,000
Ron Green - 77,000
Garrett Riley - 75,000
Bernard Lee - 72,000
Nancy Girton - 68,000
Blair Hinkle - 65,000
