RunGood's Ross Bybee is among the early chip leaders on Day 1B of the Kansas City Main Event.

By this point yesterday, the Day 1A field was starting straight up at Josh Schmitz, who was playing 130,000 at this time. As we noted, the last four levels of the night would play a role in deciding the end of day chip leader and that held to form as Schmitz busted before the end of the night.

Michael Gebhardt zoomed ahead of the rest of the field and bagged over 400,000 to put a wide gulf between him and the other 22 players who advanced from the flight. So far today, no one has reached the pace that Schmitz set but nonetheless, having a lot of chips at this stage is a great sign for future prospects.

The second break of the day is around the corner and as the blinds increase at a more steep rate between now and Level 12, more chips will be up for grabs. A look at the current leaderboard is below.

Neil Patel - 90,000
Gary Fleischman - 85,000
Matt Donaldson - 80,000
William Pridey - 74,000
Mike Scharnhorst - 70,000
Ross Bybee - 65,000
