It was a pure freeroll for him as Pope turned over A♣9♥ for the same straight draw. The 3♦ hit the turn and Pope exits in 37th place. Thompson is over 400,000 and one of the chip leaders as the the field heads out on a short break. The field will redraw at 27 players, 18 and then at the final table of 10.
