Chris Moneymaker (pictured) started Day 2 with an above-average stack and is playing about as above-average as it gets. Moneymaker eliminated William Stanford and is the new chip leader.

Stanford opened to 10,500 in the cutoff and Moneymaker defended his big blind. Moneymaker checked the 9♠64♠ flop and Stanford bet 10,500 more. After seeing how much Stanford had behind, Moneymaker raised to 33,000 and Stanford was right behind him with a shove for 85,000 total.

Moneymaker called with K♠7♠ and had work to do against the A♠9 for Stanford. The 4 turn kept Stanford ahead but the 8♠ river sent the pot Moneymaker's way. With the blinds about to go up, Moneymaker is in the lead with 360,000.
