By the close of registration, 57 players had paid the entry fee and taken their seats in the first of three Day 1 flights of the Jamul Poker Open $600 Main Event. At the end of the night, just eight players punched their ticket to Day 2. First among them is chip leader Maurice Hawkins (pictured) with 437,000 chips.
