The action at the RGPS Hard Rock Tulsa continued at a frenzied pace on Wednesday with the $180 Deepstack event. Two Day 1 flights were scheduled (12 p.m. and 7 p.m.), with a noon restart for Day 2 on Thursday. In all, 331 players entered, generating a prize pool of $46,340. Players who survived 12 levels (6 hours) of play bagged up at the conclusion of their Day 1 flight, 23 from the first flight and 33 from the second.  Those 56 players will return Thursday at noon to play down to a winner.

Rodney Spriggs emerged as the overall Day 1 chip leader with 209,100 chips, with Jerod Jameson (205,600), prior RGPS ME champion Will Berry (198,200), and RG Pro Dan "Wretchy" Martin (194,300) trailing by two big blinds or less.  Other notable players to survive include Samantha Abernathy (168,600), Lynn Samples (162,100), Ray Henson (125,900), Cherie Baber (123,900), Daniel Hughes (99,200), Chris Conrad (88,100), Mesgana Tesfalidet (76,000), Mina Greco (74,900), Papa Karn (57,600), Chuck Chadwick (53,100), Jared Ward (51,200), Jody Briscoe (36,600), and Lauren Bunch (33,500).

The first of three $160 ME Satellite tournaments took place at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The satellite sported a 10-seat guarantee and attracted 40 players. RG pro Dan "Wretchy" Martin bubbled the event.
