52 players return for Main Event Day 2 - Seat assignments and chip counts

All three Day 1 flights of the $675 RGPS Main Event are complete, and just 52 players are left from the 252 who entered. Those players will return to the Harrah's North Kansas City at noon on Sunday to play down to a champion. The prize pool reached an amazing $151,200, well above the $100,000 guarantee. The payout structure will be announced prior to the restart, and we'll bring it to you as soon as it becomes available.

Jonathan Nye is our overall chip leader heading to Day 2, with 261,500 chips.  Not far behind are Joseph Becchina (246,000), Jay McVeigh (235,500), Justin Young (229,500), Tim Woodson (214,000), and Rick McGown (201,000).  Other notables to punch tickets to Day 2 include Andre Allen (165,500), Mark Fink (116,500), Travis Burch (115,500), Nick Burris (91,500), Papa Karn (56,000), and Mason Hinkle (21,500).

Woodson finished runner-up in the Road to the RunGood Cup at Harrah's New Orleans this past December. Nick Burris took second in the Deepstack event on Thursday. Mark Fink, Andre Allen, and Papa Karn all have multiple cashes in RunGood events at multiple stops. It all adds up to a day of tough competition on Sunday.

Conspicuously absent from the field are the RunGood pros. Julie Anna Cornelius had perhaps the worst go of it. In Flight A, she lost a series of hands while holding a set each time and still coming out second-best. She was also the last RG pro standing in Flight C, going out when her A♥T♦ couldn't outdraw John Mullanex's A♦K♣.

With Day 2 comes a redraw for seats, which are shown below.
