Level 6 (300/600/600)
Total Entrants: 135
WSOP Circuit legend Mike Cordell (pictured) has joined the Flight B field and started out on a dry spell to fall below the 20,000 starting stack--that is, until the flash flood in Level 6.
Cordell finds himself in the big blind when Tomas Teran opens for 1,600 from under-the-gun. Another player two seats to Teran's left three-bets to 3,700. The action folds back to Cordell and he calls, as does Teran.
The dealer spreads a flop of J♠8♠5♠. The monochrome flop is checked to the three-bettor, who continues for 7,000. Cordell immediately moves all-in for 8,600. Teran folds and the three-bettor calls.
Cordell - 8♥8♦
Opponent - A♣Q♦
Cordell is way ahead and with no spade, his opponent will need to catch running straight cards to come from behind. The 3♦ on the turn locks up the hand for Cordell and the meaningless 9♠ completes the board.
Mike Cordell - 28,300
