Level 12 (1200/2400/400)
Day 1A entries: 82
Players remaining: 18
Average chip stack: 91,111

With ten minutes left in the last level of the day, the tournament director announced there would be just three more hands dealt, at which point the remaining players would bag their chips and advance to Day 2. On the second to last hand, a four-way pot developed that sent Ryan Anderson to the rail.

Alex Marler opens for 6,500 in middle position. Justin Gardenhire, next to act, calls, as does Jacob Seale in the hijack. The button folds and Ryan Anderson in the small blind, who has been nursing a short stack for the last three levels, moves all in for 25,000. Marler folds and Gardenhire re-shoves for 71,000 straight. Seale folds and the hands are turned up.

Justin Gardenhire - A♣T♠
Ryan Anderson - K♦J♣

The board runs out good for Gardenhire, Q♥6♣2♣Q♦3♠, sending Anderson to the rail.

Justin Gardenhire - 143,500
Ryan Anderson - Out

The remaining 18 players are bagging up and will return for Day 2 on Sunday at noon local time. Two more Day 1 flights are scheduled; Flight B takes place at 7 p.m. Friday with Flight C scheduled for noon on Saturday.

We will publish the official chip counts from the conclusion of the day's play as soon as the bagging process is completed.
